The Sinful Spine began online, and that is still where most of our story lives. But a screen could only ever hold so much of a feeling, so we opened real doors too.
I have always felt a bookshop should be more than somewhere you pop in, buy a book and leave. My whole vision was to create a space where people could spend hours getting lost in stories, discover books they will think about for years, make new friends, and feel like they have found their people.
Romance is the genre, but the feeling is warmth, escapism and belonging. This is far more a cosy sanctuary for readers than anywhere loud or overly provocative. A soft, low lit room built on a love of books, coffee, wine and all things romance.
More than anything, it is a place where everyone feels welcome, understood, and a little bit at home.
So pull up a chair, order something warm, and stay as long as you like. The kettle is always on.
